Three

My first real, concrete memories happened when I was three.   Two things stand out.

1) I was hanging by my knees from the monkey bars (only 3 feet up, or so) and fell onto my left shoulder, breaking my clavicle.  Had to wear the football-player figure-8 splint (that fortunately isn’t used much anymore) for a few weeks.

2) I received my first tricycle at Easter, featuring, of course, Strawberry Shortcake.  I still remember riding it in the front yard of our house, up and down the curved sidewalk and next to the tiger lilies.  Come to think of it, my parents still have it.  I’m sure C&E will enjoy it someday.
