Girl Smiley

I’ve been waiting and waiting for Emma to smile.  She’s an inquisitive little thing, and loves to study anything and everything that crosses her path (the waitress at the Mexican joint we went to for lunch was veeery interesting to her) but she hasn’t been smiling.

Chloe, of course, has been grinning at anyone/everyone for weeks, and of course as a Neurotic Parent I’ve been on the verge of self-diagnosing E with autism or something.  Ridiculous, obviously.  And tonight, after nursing (E’s favorite activity, hands down) she gave me a huge smile as I put her back in bed.  Made my day.

Ha – well done Emma. My twins are a teeny bit older than yours and my boy refused to smile for ages. I’d diagnosed him as either autistic or blind too!

*sigh* Doesn’t get much better than that, huh?

  3. Kim Says:

Aww! She just wanted to wait to make sure it was special and you wouldn’t get it mixed up with sissy’s first smiles! 🙂 (and btw.. LOL over the dark cloud post!)

Oh man, those smiles just make your heart melt, don’t they?
