I’m not a huge quiz fan, although some are amusing – this one just appealed for some reason. Don’t like it? Tough.

The Instructions:

1. Grab the nearest book.
2. Open the book to page 123.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the text of the sentence in your journal along with these instructions.
5. Don’t search around and look for the “coolest” book you can find. Do what’s actually next to you.

And my nearest book reveals:

“Given the second-order nature of outer-sphere electron-transfer reactions, speculate on a rate-determining step for these reactions.”

Courtesy of Introduction to Coordination, Solid State and Descriptive Inorganic Chemistry – real page-turner, huh? (Hey, it’s not my fault that the textbook shelf is the closest! I’d love to be more exciting!) The other option was a lovely selection from Lippincott’s Pharmacology on the sexual side effects of fluoxetine. Aren’t you glad I picked inorganic chem?

P.S. Thanks to Bonny for the quiz – you rock!
