A famous actress died recently of a closed head injury which resulted in an epidural bleed. These sorts of injuries happen from time to time (hers occurred while skiing) and very commonly have few symptoms for an hour or so. Once she realized that she wasn’t ok (the severe headache being her clue) she called [...]

Dribs and Drabs

* The babies have begun to notice one another this week. Emma grins at Chloe occasionally, with this “OMG! It’s you!” face. Hysterical. Chloe mostly wants to pat Emma on the face, like a toy. Will have to try to get this stuff on video.
* The tide of snot is turning. Thank heaven. All three [...]
Sex and Advertising

Two thoughts:
1) Are the makers of Vermont Teddy Bears and PajamaGrams the same people? Because damn if they don’t use the exact same soft-core lameass p0rn angle in their ads. Does this sort of advertising really work on men? I’d be embarrassed to buy their stuff, with these ads. Seriously.

Why is CBS running full episodes of Perry Mason and Dynasty on their website, and not the Mentalist? I mean, c’mon – it’s their big new show for the season, and every tivo in the country got foxed by football last night.

You know it’s been a bad few months in celebrity baby naming when:
You look at Seraphina Rose Elizabeth and think “Well, at least it’s not Bronx Mowgli.” Ai yi yi.
(The Rose and Elizabeth are fine – it’s Seraphina that’s over the top.)

Fat people (reeeeally fat.)
Little people (reeeeally little.)

Lord John Marbury.
Fred Holywell.
The Sheriff of Rottingham.
Colin Marlow.
And he’s played about a gazillion other things – those are just the first few off the top of my head.
What a combination. (100 points to anyone who can name all of the titles for the above…)
Two Random Thoughts

1) Reruns of WKRP in Cincinnati are better (and cheaper) than psychotherapy. Anyone else remember that show? As God is my witness, I thought turkeys could fly!!
2) Why do people (and by people, I mean other parents/preggos with twins – not just Joe Blow at the gas station) insist on this [...]

1) It’s May! Hurrah! I can plant my annuals now, without worrying too much about frost. An annual-buying excursion is planned for the weekend, when Mamacita is in town.
2) I just bought a container of pre-cut watermelon at the grocery. The warning label was very helpful. Warning: May contain watermelon. Yeghads, not that!
3) Despite the [...]
