1) If your child has bilateral ear infections, and you start amoxicillin at bedtime, it’s reasonable to expect that she may still have fever at 4 a.m. We’re not miracle workers, ma’am, and you don’t need to rush back into the ER for that temp of 101. Give her some ibuprofen, maybe a tepid bath, and put her back to bed.
2) If your nurse asks you to put on a gown, she usually does *not* mean to put it on like a bathrobe, open to the front, over your fleece sweatshirt, t-shirt and jeans. Just FYI.
3) If you feel the need to overdose on medication and come to the ER, please don’t expect us to be impressed by “I took 3 ambien!!!” Seriously, dude.
